Saab s Digital Tower selected for Warsaw Modlin Airport
10 July 2025
Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) has chosen Saab to provide its Digital Tower to Warsaw Modlin Airport with an operations centre located in Warsaw. Warsaw Modlin Airport will be the first airport in Poland with the air traffic operated with a Digital Tower. The operations center, based in PANSA's premises in Warsaw, will enable remote traffic management during all Polish weather conditions. In the future, the system can be expanded to additional airports in Poland.
The system is based on Saab's latest Digital Tower Suite, including 4K cameras for day and night operations, as well as the latest presentation functionalities for air traffic controllers. The airport will also receive a multilateration (MLAT) system to ensure surveillance tracking for all stages of flight, providing increased all-weather capability. Saab's Digital Tower system enables integration with future technologies such as AI-based features and unmanned traffic management.
