Textron Aviation adds Starlink to Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+
10 July 2025
Textron Aviation today announced an additional high-speed internet connectivity system for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ (pictured) following the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) issuance of AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Starlink high-speed internet connectivity. AeroMech's STC uses Starlink's constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide connectivity over land, water, and remote areas, where traditional in-flight Wi-Fi may not be available.
"We invest in product upgrades based on customer feedback, and they have been asking for the best in-flight connectivity options available in aviation today," said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, Customer Support. "We continue to expand our list of connectivity upgrades available for our customers. Offering Starlink for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ adds another product to the list of what's possible when you upgrade your aircraft with Textron Aviation."
Customers can schedule the upgrade for installation at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and select International Service Centers. AeroMech's STC employs a Starlink Aviation Kit, consisting of an Aero Terminal (Antenna), Power Supply Unit (PSU), two Wireless Access Points (WAPs), harnessing, and only requires power input from the aircraft.
