Tecnam delivers new P2006T to Melbourne Flight Training
30 April 2025
Tecnam announced the delivery of a new P2006T MKII aircraft to Melbourne Flight Training (MFT), a Part-141 flight school based in Melbourne, Florida. The addition expands MFT's multi-engine fleet to eight aircraft, five of which are Tecnam P2006T models.
MFT's Platinum Multi-Engine program provides an accelerated, no-wait multi-engine training path designed to address growing industry demand for pilot training. With the FAA's approval of self-examining authority, students enrolled in the program can now complete their check rides in-house, reducing delays traditionally caused by limited Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) availability. Melbourne Flight Training has self-examining authority across multiple flight training programs, including Instrument, Commercial Multi Add-On, and Certified Flight Instructor courses.
"This expansion of our self-examining authority for our 141 commercial multi engine program breaks through the current industry barriers affecting students who are waiting in long lines for DPE checkrides," said Derek Fallon, President. "MFT is a leader in commercial multi engine training and is committed to providing the most efficient, effective multi engine flight training possible."
Founded by husband & wife team Derek & Kristina Fallon in 2016, Melbourne Flight Training provides premier flight instruction to recreational and professional pilot students. Its mission is to provide safe, high-quality flight training that empowers our students to achieve their aviation goals. It offers a variety of flight training programs, including an accelerated Career Aviator Pathway (CAP) program, multi-engine pilot training, and advanced training up to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certifications. Melbourne Flight Training operates a fleet of 34 training aircraft, including three new Tecnam P2006T MKII.
