In these sections you can find address and contact information of:

  • - manufacturers of aerospace products
  • - organizations active within the aerospace world

If you click the you will see all available information of that particular manufacturer/organization.

Manufacturers and organizations either have the status 'existant', 'not known' or 'Historic'. If a manufacturer is marked with an asterix (*) the company has ceased operations (status = 'Historic'); however it may still contain relevant contact information about the manufacturer i.e. the link to a website containing information about that manufacturer. Whenever new information becomes available these sections will be updated. These sections will be regularly checked for validity and accuracy.

The Manufacturers section is divided in 4 categories:

  1. Aircraft manufacturer, a list of both present day and historical manufacturers that can be searched by keyword (the first block of keywords in the list)
  2. Powerplant manufacturer, a list of both present day and historical manufacturers that can be searched by keyword (the second block of keywords in the list)
  3. Avionics manufacturer, a list of present day manufacturers, there are NO keywords defined for this category
  4. Component manufacturer, a list of present day manufacturers of key components or assemblies, there are NO keywords defined for this category.

The sections 'Manufacturers' and 'Organizations' are composed according to certain rules and principles:

  • - a (aircraft/powerplant) manufacturer may be listed as 'existant' even if it no longer builds aircraft/powerplants, whether a manufacturer is listed as 'existant' depends on whether the organization itself still exists, i.e. if an organization used to built engines, but at present only maintains/overhauls them it will be listed as a manufacturer.
  • - Keywords of 'aircraft manufacturer' contain ambiguities. These center around 2 subjects:
    • - whether an aircraft is a 'homebuilt'; basically we use the FAA '51%-rule' to determine whether an aircraft falls within this keyword, i.e. a paraplane that requires 30 hours of assembly is NOT a 'homebuilt'
    • - whether an aircraft is a 'Microlight / fixed-wing' or a 'Light aircraft'. Generally speaking, we call an aircraft a 'Microlight / fixed-wing' if it fits within the European rules (450 kg, 1000 lbs MTOW, stalling speed below 35 kts, 65 km/h). Any aircraft that does not meet these criteria is a 'Light aircraft', including the European VLA and the American LSA category.
Please note: every country nowadays has different rules and regulations about which aircraft are 'Microlights' and which are 'Light aircraft'. If you want to acquire or operate an aircraft in your country get well acquainted with local laws and regulations!
  • - a keyword is assigned if a manufacturer has had serious plans or started building a prototype that falls within the definition of that keyword.

If you discover incomplete or inaccurate information in these sections, or if you want contact information of your organization published on 'www.aerospacefacts.com', please send an email to: info@aerospacefacts.com

Important - read this:

All events in the Calendar may be subject to change or cancellation! Contact the organization or check the website for up-to-date information about the event!

Search:

- searching can be done by 3 variables: per country, per month, per event. Complex searches are possible, any combination of of variables can be used.

To view the complete list of events again after a search either press on 'Events' on the left or press the 'c' (= clear) button on the right of the search-bar, then press 'search'.

Events are classified by one or more keywords depending on the event. Please note: there may be a certain amount of ambiguity about which keywords are applicable; try a few different, but associated ones, i.e. recreational aviation vs paramotors.

For the purpose of this Events 'exhibition' is synonymous with 'exposition' and 'convention' with 'conference'. For an event to be added to the Events attendence must be available to the general public or aerospace professionals.

Events that will not be considered for this Events are: 'seminars, workshops, courses, trainings, certificate programs and summits'. Furthermore, any event about aircraft modelling, (PC) flight simulators or defence/transportation in general will not be published.

If you find incomplete or inaccurate information in this section, or if you want your event published on 'www.aerospacefacts.com', please send an email to: info@aerospacefacts.com
